IMF-WB - President holds bilateral meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a bilateral meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)-World Bank (WB) Annual Meeting in Nusa Dua, Bali.

After delivering a speech at the IMF-WB Plenary Session Annual Meeting at the Nusa Dua Hall, Bali, on Friday, President Jokowi held a bilateral meeting with the Vietnamese prime minister.

The meeting took place at the same venue where the IMF-WB Plenary Session Annual Meeting 2018 was held.

Before the meeting, the two leaders took part in a joint photo session and delivered a press statement.

In his remarks, President Jokowi stated that the bilateral meeting was held exactly a month after Prime Minister Nguyen and he had met in Hanoi.

"This reflects the intense bilateral relations between Indonesia and Vietnam, which had been established based on strategic partnerships," President Jokowi stated.

The president thanked the Vietnamese prime minister for the attention given to Indonesian investors in Vietnam.

"I thank the Vietnamese PM for the attention given to Indonesian investors in Vietnam," he noted.

On the occasion President Jokowi handed over a photo book containing photographs of them taken at the previous meeting.
