In order to deepen scientific and educational cooperation a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr. Laode Masibu Kamaluddin, rector of the Sultan Agung University and President of the Indonesian Rectors’ Forum, and by Dr. Zoltán Dubéczy, secretary general of the Hungarian Rectors’ conference as a final act of the Conference organized on the premises of Budapest Business School.
At the 1st Indonesian-Hungarian Rectors’ Forum, jointly organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Budapest, by the Indonesian-Hungrian Business Council and by Budapest Business School, the Rectors’ Conferences of the two countries urged closer ooperation in the future between Indonesian and Hungarian higher education institutions – first of all in the field of medical, business and engineering studies as well as of humanities and social sciences.
The cooperation agreement supports and forms an integral part of the realization of internationalization objectives of Hungarian higher education.
Dr. Éva Sándor-Kriszt, Co-president of HRC and rector of BBS pointed out in connection with the signing:
„It is just two months ago that the Indonesian-Hungarian Business Forum took place in Budapest whereby BBS singed a cooperation agreement with one of the dynamically developing private higher education institutions of Indonesia. In autumn 2012 a high-ranking Hungarian delegation visited Vietnam and held discussions about closer educational relations. So it can be seen that both in economic relations and in the field of higher education an increased attention is to be turned to Asia, and accordingly to Indonesia as well. I think the Memorandum of Understanding signed today can equally contribute to the strengthening of higher education, business and cultural dimensions of the relations between the two countries.”
