“Wonderful Indonesia” launched to promote Indonesia

The slogan “Wonderful Indonesia” is launched by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia. For the year 2011, the Indonesian Government is targeting 7.7 million tourists to come and visit Indonesia.

According to Minister of Culture and Tourism, Jero Wacik, the slogan is launched as it reflects Indonesia’s natural beauty, culture circumstances and tourism. Furthermore the Minister said, “Because Indonesia’s nature, culture, people, community and cuisine are wonderful, so it is acceptable if we say that Indonesia is wonderful.”

This slogan will be introduced at the international forum of ASEAN Tourism Ministerial Meeting in Cambodia, January 17-18, 2011. Indonesian tourism promotion will also penetrate cinematography by producing an adventure film which depicts the beauty of Raja Ampat, a resort in Papua province.
